In light of the ever increasing pace of species extinction in spite of the countless conservation initiatives and protection accords,
Endangered species need the following Fundamental Rights:-
- The right to life.
- The right to protection
- The right to procreation
- The right to inter & intra specific
interaction with in the limits of normal carrying capacities.
Without these rights, endangered species remain a resource and a property of the state, at the disposal of the priorities of the state.
Unfortunately most endangered species are located in the third world, with limited animal protection capabilities, plagued by political instability, short sighted priorities,corruption and with limited resources for investigation of crimes let alone taking action against perpetrators.
The Bush meat Crisis, species extinction, Habitat degradation and Global warming are undoubtedly propagated by mostly the irresponsible activities of the logging, mining, transportation, energy, fashion and the Construction industries just but a few. The missing link plaguing all conservation initiatives is the absence of Wildlife Rights & a consensus establishing wildlife and habitats as Global heritages, protected by legally binding and enforceable international wildlife/ Habitat laws & an official organ of the UN mandated to prosecute the perpetration of crimes against wildlife and Habitat degradation.

In the struggle against species extinction, every one has a role to play. Your participation will help us create an international consensus for action & to ensure that United Nations and the international Law Commission issue the mandate and create the legal frame work for action against Perpetrators.
